Words of Light: A Bahá’í Guardian’s Counsel for the Fast and Beyond

 

Dear friends,

Allah'u'Abha!

May this short note arrive with happiness and glad-tidings for this month of the Fast!

Baha'u'llah states that we fast for the love of God:

"In the Name of Him Who hath been promised in the Books of God, the All-Knowing, the All-Informed! The days of fasting have arrived wherein those servants who circle round Thy throne and have attained Thy presence have fasted. Say: O God of names and creator of heaven and earth! I beg of Thee by Thy Name, the All-Glorious, to accept the fast of those who have fasted for love of Thee and for the sake of Thy good-pleasure and have carried out what Thou hast bidden them in Thy Books and Tablets. I beseech Thee by them to assist me in the promotion of Thy Cause and to make me steadfast in Thy love, that my footsteps may not slip on account of the clamor of Thy creatures. Verily, Thou art powerful over whatsoever Thou willest. No God is there but Thee, the Quickener, the All-Powerful, the Most Bountiful, the Ancient of Days."--Baha'u'llah. 

We don't know God in essence. We know God in thought. The thought of His essence...

And this essence appears in spiritual qualities and attributes in the person of the manifestation of God who gives us this original thought.

Once the gift of this thought is given and received, anyone can give that gift to another and pass that thought on along for free...and all are welcome to turn directly to the primary source.

Therefore, tracing the origin of the thought to its source is a matter of scientific and historical integrity: and in the case of "the thought of God" we have the progressive civilizations of the Buddha, Muhammad, Jesus, Moses, Adam, Zoroaster, and the current Revelation of today.

Knowing the primary source is key.

The idea of the thought of the Creator has been around a long time. It is an ancient concept, even if it's new to you.

Everything we know about the Creator originates from the words, actions, teachings and demonstration of the Manifestation of God that is our first teacher and primordial educator in the ever advancing civilization of God.

Through entering in to the Covenant of God, to love one another and to abolish all war, our faith is assured; and safety, security and salvation is safeguarded for all.

I have attached here, some important comments from 'Abdu'l-Baha about suggestions on how to actually end wars, and even how to prevent war, when initially attacked by another nation. These authentic pilgrim notes, give us a glimpse on how we may imagine and implement solutions for peace established upon the foundation of justice today.

May this short note brighten our eyes, and gladden all our hearts! For the blessings and favors of God to be bestowed upon all the people of the world this up coming Naw Ruz and Ridvan. In like manner--as the Naw Ruz of the Bab of 4BE--Naw Ruz 2025, will be filled with a special potency and wonderful spiritual gifts for the faith, thus opening this coming brand new year! And, as such, this current fast, during the planetary alignment and lunar and solar eclipses coordinates a world fast and holy period from the sacred calendars of all faiths and traditions also in alignment and conjunction now at this time.

May wisdom conquer the stupidity of war!

The Russo-Japanese War

(Feb 8, 1904 – Sep 5, 1905)

"One day several European visitors arrived and attained the presence of 'Abdu'l-Baha as described previously, with much insistence and stubbornness. First they asked about political questions, to which 'Abdu'l-Baha refused to reply. "We have no involvement in the world of politics," He said. ...

"Who will win the war?" they asked. 

As 'Abdu'l-Bahá remained silent, they realized that they had trespassed the bounds of courtesy, and so they modified the political nature of the issues, adopted a moral approach, and asked, "Of course, we know that Japan was the instigator and invader, but could Russia have avoided engaging the Japanese in the conflict?"

The Master replied, "Yes, they could have, since they were the ones who initiated the declaration of world peace and were the spearhead in motivating other governments in the establishment of the World Peace Conference at The Hague.

"It would have been better had they not gone to war, but had adopted a defensive position. Then, in collaboration with other governments, they could have issued an ultimatum to Japan." '

'Abdu'l-Baha continued in this vein, uttering astonishing concepts which left His stunned listeners overwhelmed.

Using a world map, He pointed out the frontiers of Russia, gave the number of their warships and categorized them in groups, indicating the role of each group in battle. He then explained how Russia could have effected a general retreat, in the meantime communicating with neighbouring governments and inviting their participation in the issuing of an ultimatum for a ceasefire. 

Then He elaborated on the design and execution of a Comprehensive Peace Plan.

'Abdu'l-Bahá's descriptions were so clear and lucid that His listeners were beside themselves with astonishment and delight.

One of them said, "I wish the politicians of the world were aware of these possibilities."

"The Czar of Russia suggested the Hague Peace Conference and proposed a decrease in armament for all nations. In this Conference it was proved that Peace was beneficial to all countries, and that war destroyed trade, etc. The Czar's words were admirable though after the conference was over he himself was the first to declare war (against Japan).

      

"Knowledge is not enough; we hope by the Love of God we shall put it into practice. A spiritual universal Force is needed for this. Meetings are good for engendering spiritual force. To know that it is possible to reach a state of perfection, is good; to march forward on the path is better. We know that to help the poor and to be merciful is good and pleases God, but knowledge alone does not feed the starving man, nor can the poor be warmed by knowledge or words in the bitter winter; we must give the practical help of Loving-kindness."

"It resembles many drunkards gathered together to protest against the drinking of alcohol. They say drink is horrible and they straightway go out from the house to drink again." ('Abdu'l-Baha in London)

Hope springs eternal!!! The more dire the situation becomes, the deeper the desire for the remedy. For 6000 years man has been fighting and struggling to survive. Today all at once, with internet, global communication, global travel, world fair trade: we have the ways and means to Abolish all war, and to cooperate together everywhere in order to live better lives in our short journey on earth, demonstrating meeting our needs together, and not short-changing anyone at another's expense. 

Once characters and personalities are reformed, then structures and institutions shall follow. Because it takes people who are world reformers to reform those institutions that no longer serve properly human needs. And the practice of all the successful world reformers is personal growth and development. Problem solvers are needed because there are problems. Therefore problems are a good thing because they give us opportunities for something positive for us to do; and for something positive for us to do together. Happiness may be defined, as the successful solution for our problems. Therefore God gives us problems so we'll be happy!

Universal Peace & the Oneness of Humanity

To Whom It May Concern:

Attached please find three archival documents significant to the very important history and spiritual development of the Universal Effort to Outlaw and Abolish all war permanently on planet earth (1928 prophesied Kellogg-Briand Paris Peace Pact); and the people’s current role (2020-2027) in establishing a permanent and durable peace on earth for everyone, very much both needed and desired by all people everywhere today.

The Testimony of Jane Addams:

“Professor Francis B. Sayer of the Harvard Law School, who was later appointed Assistant Secretary of State by President Franklin D. Roosevelt, was asked by the W.I.L (Women's International League For PEACE and FREEDOM) in 1927 to draft a MODEL ARBITRATION TREATY. This was widely circulated by our group, laying the foundation for the understanding of the KELLOGG-BRIAND PACT. Mr. Sayer's model was actually being circulated six months before M. Briand made his proposal which lead to THE PEACE PACT. In the same year 30,000 signatures were collected, asking President Coolidge to initiate the treaties for THE OUTLAWRY Of WAR. At the presentation of these to the President he announced his intention of beginning conversations with M. Briand on the subject of an OUTLAWRY OF WAR TREATY. The W.I.L. [w/ Jane Addams of Hull House & Sarah Farmer of Green Acre, et al.] continued presenting this matter until it was finally brought to a successful conclusion in 1929 [Legislated August 27. 1928 & in force by July 24. 1929], with ratification by the Senate of THE KELLOGG-BRIAND PACT.” (Testimony of Jane Addams--for the record and on the record--History of the W.I.L. for Peace and Freedom, US Section 1915-1940, p. 45).

The year 2028 will be the Centenary of the Outlawry of War (Aug 27, 1928 – Aug. 27, 2028), and we can only hope to imagine the celebrations of all people knowing war is illegal as originated from Chicago to legislated in Paris, France: the City of Origin to the City of Outcome at the culmination of this first 100 years.

In the first document, Jane Addams, of Chicago’s Hull House, explains how War was made illegal on Aug, 27, 1928, through the concerted efforts of her religious and humanitarian work based in Chicago and the circulation of the draft proposal of what became legislated as the Kellogg-Briand Paris Peace Pact. The third document is part of the current ongoing Federal law case (now in the 10th Circuit Fed. Court in Denver, CO) -- filed from Chicago, that explains some of the religious significance of the "Covenant of Peace" (Ez. 37:26) that was successfully launched in 1928 from the windy city.

The second document records the historic meeting in Chicago (in 1912) between Jane Addams and the Delineator of the New Law (the son of its Author) who colluded together in Chicago, in the Name of LOVE, on how the hopes & dreams of world peace was to become the reality, and how the Cause to Outlaw War was to become triumphant in the hearts, minds, and souls of everyone. Only a mere 16 years later (1928) success on that front was immaculately achieved!

In my pov, the Outlawry and Abolition of War (the current spiritual, religious and LEGAL foundation for true humane civilization world-wide --established upon the Spirit of peace on earth and justice for all) is the greatest and single most important significant human achievement and event in the entire written history of our planet (see Hathaway & Shapiro (2018) The Internationalists, for more).

The discovery of fire and the invention of the wheel pale in comparison to the herculean task and monumental human achievement of the Abolition of War; and fall way short of the glory and Love embodied in the universal commitment of all peoples and nations toward "pacific means" (Article 2, lnc 2137) for the amicable and conclusive (nonviolent and non-aggressive) settlement of all disputes. 

Fire has been used to burn people in the ovens and camps, and the wheel to grind people up in the engines of war! Electricity to end human life in the "chair" and the nuclear force to genocide human beings in a single flash of misqualified ill intent! Whereas the Outlawry of War, and the CALL to democratically elect the Committee For a Durable World Peace, to fully uphold Our conjoint promise (1928) to one another to cooperate to thrive and survive together (Article 2 "pacific means") is nothing less than pure and pristine! 

In fact this 1928 Covenant for Peace on earth is really truly a sacred gift!! Why? Because both Life itself and the tabernacling of Life in the living temple of the human being are sacred! No gift is greater than the gift of life and life abundantly! And all other gifts only serve to enhance the quality and Spirit of our being and the everlasting nature of that life: a life of safety, security, and salvation for all peoples, including ourselves--as OUR LIFE in eternal paradise in both this world and the next if we voluntarily and freely choose--openly & unalloyed--in the joyous Spirit of gratitude and lovingly tender thankfulness, to say: "Yes!"

Yes, to Love, yes to Life, yes to the real peace on earth only a true poetic & social justice shall provide...and now, today, legally so.

The fact that this cause to end all wars emerged from the Baha’i Activity Center and work in Chicago and the work of the conjoint efforts of Jane Addams and her extended "Addams family" at Chicago's Hull House and beyond, places Chicago on the map as one of the most important, outstanding and significant cities and spiritual communities in the cultural and religious history of the story of the development and unfolding progressive civilization of all humankind. The fact that the active war in Ukraine/Crimea (coupled with the current DENVER Federal Case to suppress this info. that seeks to collect up all the books, archival materials and "blueprints" and guidance materials for permanent destruction) continues the ongoing saga of this Cause for the Oneness of Humanity and Universal Peace as a Current Event happening in real time: And preserves and sustains Chicago as the current Central City of religious and spiritual significance in the Heartland of America from out which the ultimate spiritual and material Triumph of the human being shall be won, once and for all time.

Letter from Baháʼí Guardian Neal Chase - October 2024

 

 Dear Friends, 

Allah'u'Abha! 

As world events further deteriorate into war, the ascendency of Our Cause for Universal Peace and the Oneness of Humanity gains momentum. Each day, every day, it becomes clearer and clearer that the only workable solution to cure the ills of the world is to uphold the Most Great Covenant of the prophesied Kellogg-Briand Paris Peace Pact as explicitly directed to do so by the Covenant of Bahá'u'lláh (Kitab-i 'Ahd) and the sacred Will and Testament of Abdu'l-Baha: "Conflict and strife are forbidden, a rigid prohibition in the book". 

Through our curriculum of life lessons and the progressive unfolding of God's plan, the Cause of God for Universal Peace and the firm Covenant that declares for "pacific means" for the settlement of all disputes is the ONLY REMEDY on the table of all other options on the table: and the majority is fast recognizing its clear significance and purpose. As problems become more and more insurmountable the call for the democratic election of the Supreme Tribunal (the committee to end war: ctew) becomes more obvious as the Prophesied remedy. 

Accepting prophecy fulfilled in general as an infallible and scientifically Discerning reality is in fact an outpouring of the holy spirit, as Peter has stated, no prophecy of scripture was given by the impulse of man, but rather by the holy spirit holy ones spoke! And again in the book of Revelation, the Testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy. 

The fact that both the Covenant (made international law in 1928) and the Author fulfill prophecy for the Great Announcement to take place at the 490th year from the order of Suleiman the Magnificent to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem in 1537 AD (2020 to 2027 AD) is currently invigorating and inspiring all the people of the world to accept the God-given and divine solution of cooperating together to end all wars and return to our various humanitarian occupations in civilization building as caretakers of our green planet earth. 

The Gathering Storm has commenced on these days of a call for Universal Peace that has sent cold chills down the spines of all people in the realization that rededicating ourselves to every single provision of the Covenant of Friendship, Love, and Everlasting Peace (Ez. 37:26, Deut. 7:9 NIV) is our only hope, our only way, our only remedy: 

"And yet, how often we seem to forget the clear and repeated warnings of Our beloved Master ['Abdu'l-Baha], Who, in particular during the concluding years of His mission on earth, laid stress on the "severe mental tests" that would inevitably sweep over His loved ones of the West — tests that would purge, purify and prepare them for their noble mission in life." (Shoghi Effendi,14 November 1923) 

While the great world events prepare all people for the good news of prophecy fulfilled, and the reality that we are all His heirs, equally so, to this "noble and peerless heritage" of the Outlawry of War (prophesied Kellogg-Briand Paris Peace Pact  Covenant 1928) and are the living successors, equally so, of the previous generations of our holy family of the Oneness of Humanity in the Author's Name and great work; we still live our own personal lives each day, one day at a time. 

Discerning the plan of God for Universal Peace in general, and of knowing of these things, working toward that common goal in groups, keeping the faith ADDS to and enhances our clear understanding of our personal missions and purpose in life, the way we understand it. How Great is a loving God who created us, and has given us meaning, purpose and mission: a mission toward the betterment of our own souls and for the betterment of all our own lives to thrive in a Golden Civilization of Universal Peace to be born out of this current Great Epoch of the Golden Age of the faith of Baha’u’llah. 

To all the friends in all regions, I send my greetings and well wishing on this day of the prophesied "week of the covenant". A prophesied 7 years period (each day is as a year and a year is as one day, Ez 4:6; Num 14:34) spoken of by the prophet Daniel (see chapter 9) explained and commented upon by 'Abdu'l-Baha (see SAQ) and of the Lamb, in which this great announcement to all ones is made, upsetting the balance of power in the world, and raising the frequency of all ones to the higher consciousness that the same God who holds our life in His hands, never makes a promise but that he keeps it! And a promise from God is Prophecy. 

The Kellogg-Briand Paris Peace Pact fulfills this prophecy of God for the 490 years deadline to implement the solution. And the solution, "the little child that shall lead us" is the Promised One, the Supreme Tribunal. 

All books and Scriptures speak of the participation of all people around the world tree in council representing the Oneness of Humanity. The prophecy is clear. It's not just one person who "returns" it is the whole gang who returns, both the supporters and the detractors, the people of affirmation and those of denial. This becomes a test. When we overcome the test, we advance the whole planet. So then God sends another test. Tests are the spice of life. We should pray for tests because that's how we grow. 

Today, the fame of the faith has grown in advanced proportions. The quality of life in the deepening of the friends in the cause has reached the stage of maturity. The clarity of our message, intent, motivation and purpose has never been more certain, true, and focused. The powers of individual discernment among all the friends is reaching an all new plateaux. The bonds of spiritual intimacy and affection between all the friends is deepening and growing stronger day by day. The close association with the spirit and the character of the current Baha'i administration is invigorating the souls and inspiring the minds. And the glory of God, prophecy fulfilled, is upon us all, so that "God should be all in all for everyone".

Neal Chase The Custodial Guardian of the Baha’i shrines, President, IBC/UHJ Responds to the devastating fire at the world center

(The Removal of Abdul Baha’s mortal remain was not been authorized or approved by the True UHJ)

 

The removal of 'Abdu’l-Baha's mortal remains from the shrine of the Bab to that other location has not been either authorized or approved by the genuine UHJ (head and body both) that is the legal successor to Shoghi Effendi that he set up and constituted on Jan. 9, 1951, established in full working order on Jan.9, 1991. In the W&T, the final page states that we must turn unto Shoghi Effendi (the center of the Cause of God) and after him to the House of Justice and warns that "he who turns unto whatsoever else is indeed in grievous error."

The people who followed Ruhiyyih Khanum and the Hands turned to her and the Hands after the passing of Shoghi Effendi and separated themselves from the true IBC/UHJ set up on Jan. 9, 1951, with 'Abdu’l-Baha's aghsan-son as it's first president. When they did this they have fallen into grievous error after grievous error after grievous error.

Nowhere in the explicit writings does it state where the remains of 'Abdu’l-Baha should be laid to rest. When the Covenant was broken at the time of the passing of Abdu’l-Baha, his corpse was placed in the Shrine of the Bab, against his own stated wishes, that he was not to be interred there. This was done without consulting Shoghi Effendi either. When Shoghi Effendi arrived in the Holy Land from London it was too late, and it was too much for Shoghi Effendi to contemplate moving his remains that were at least at rest. Now without producing anything, not even a pilgrim notes, those, not guided by the true UHJ, like those not guided by Shoghi Effendi, who interred his blessed remains in the shrine of the Bab, against the Master's own wishes, these misguided ones are seeking to remove his blessed remains and frame of his mortal temple off Mt. Carmel to some unknown spot of no importance or significance. 'Abdu'l-Baha would NEVER wish a shrine for himself but only a grave, like his sister the Greatest Holy Leaf, his mother, Navaab, and his brother the Purest Branch.

There are not to be three sacred shrines in the Holy Land, but only two: Bahji and that of the Bab. A separate shrine for 'Abdu’l-Baha is an abomination to the life work and servitude of 'Abdu’l-Baha. To see Abdu’l-Baha's true feelings about this, see the episode of Abdu’l-Baha and Mishkin-Qalam concerning the inscription on the sarcophagus of the Bab.

Therefore, like Elijah that fought the pagan priests of Ba'al, atop Mount Carmel in ancient days, God Almighty has sent down purifying fire from on high, to blast the area of the Holy Mountain with the fires from heaven at the proposed location.

Like Shoghi Effendi, who let the error stand for a time, we have nothing to say about the removal or final true resting place for the sacred and Holy remains of the Master, our perfect exemplar, Abdu’l-Baha. 

Therefore, they have all fallen into grievous error, and the fire of God has caused them all to lament and grieve. Those firm in the Covenant rejoice at the perfection of God and are not grieved in the least, for all the world is entering the days of the great all-consuming fires of purification. (Consider the prophecies of the Book of Revelation at this time concerning the bear of Russia and the eagle of the US, and "Gog and Magog" occurring at this very same time, that is no mere coincidence.)

These days of the all-consuming fire! This is the fire of Abdu’l-Baha who has lit the seven candles. It is the shamash candle that lights the seven candles, for the first shall be last and the last shall be first. Through the power of His Covenant and the sacred W&T, the fires of faith and the fires of the Holy Spirit have been now ignited by his hands yet again at the centenary of the Covenant.

This fire of the true Covenant of God is at once a blessing to the righteous and a curse for the wicked. As the pagan priests of Ba'al are slain, like the overthrow of Rome, the souls of the true believers, ascend through 10 states through four worlds in their reunion and meeting with God, even as Elijah himself ascended unto heaven in a whirl-wind and Flaming chariot.

May this letter open all eyes to God's Fashioning of us all into His image and likeness so we can attain our meeting with Him in the Holy Court of the throne room in the realms of Lahut, Jabarut, and Makakut; for He is our creator and fashioner and we are the created and what He is fashioning even now!

Ya Baha'u'-ABHA! May God protect and guide the people of Baha so that they may ALL come to life and SEE!!!

We, BUPC Baha’is of India, condemn the frivolous suit and the other ridiculous and unfounded attempts to defame us or forestall teaching efforts. It is yet another attempt to shut down our Baha’i websites and restrict our public internet teaching effort (see file attached).

While the teachings of Bahaullah are based on justice, Universal House of justice  leaves no opportunity to scuttle efforts of other sects of Baha’is.

As a reminder, on previous such attempts, the fake UHJ has been defeated three times in court {at WIPO 2005: http://www.bupc.org/wipo/wipo-press-release.html) and in the United States Federal Court of the 7th circuit and upheld in the US 7th circuit Federal Court of Appeal in the year 2010 (https://cite.case.law/f3d/628/837/)}. UHJ has not learnt from the past and dares to be humiliated fourth time.

We appeal to all justice loving people of the world to condemn this un-democratic attempt of Heterodox Baha’is, who leave no stone unturned to criticize various countries like Iran, Iraq, India, Korea etc for persecuting the Baha’is, while they themselves are treating the other sects of Baha’is with intimidation of court cases. The UHJ is over-confident of its money and muscle power and think it can get away with anything and everything. Alas, their assessment is at grave error.

Every such attempt only helps us to further serve our united global educational teaching efforts, and fan the flames of the love of God in the hearts, minds and souls of all the peoples of the world

Dear friends, 

Allah'u'Abha!

  

May the blessings and glory of God be upon you all and all your loved ones in this clear Day of the visible birth of the Great Peace of our times. "Man schemes and God schemes and God is the best of schemers" (al-Anfal Q 8:20).

AS WE come into the fullness of this first Century of the Covenant (1921-2021), and this penultimate year of 2020, BEHOLD: an Act of God--The current COVID-19 Crisis, and the universal global lock-down and shut-in protocols of the Quarantine for all the people of the world--as 'Abdu'l-Baha spoke in 1912: "All nations will be forced into it."

The Quarantine has effectively stopped all the major wars in temporary cease fire. Palestinians and Israelis have gone home; Yemen signed a temporary truce to get aid and medical supplies, etc. This may be the first time that the world has experienced the closest thing to peace on earth! At least for the last 40 days. According to the New York Times, the majority of Americans say "No!" to returning back to the former "Beast" materialistic economy of the American driven so-called "Forever War." The people are tired of living the way they have been, out of balance, working endless jobs without breaks, living hand to mouth, pay check to pay check, and participating--through no other options--in destructive behaviors and destructive lifestyles dictated by the circumstances of an endless war economy based on greed, personal aggrandizement, a throw-away culture of instant gratifications, and planned obsolescence of inferior products, goods, and services.

This Act of God has in effect said: "STOP!" "Go home...cooperate with one another...clean up your act....change your ways....emerge to work together for a better world..." Together We can make this world not merely a better place, but a real garden paradise on earth for ourselves, our children, all creatures, and for all future generations. Obviously if we will work together, cooperate, as the Baha'is are able to do through our Covenant and Administration--as one soul in one body--this alone can remedy the situation--all of us real people--human beings--taking care of the real business at hand of life, and life abundantly! Through meeting, gathering, assembling, speaking out, and participating together under the Covenant, God guides us along the way every moment of every day, and all obstacles are overcome.

For the first time in many years the Holy Mountains of the Himalayas can be seen again from the low lands of India because the air pollution has cleared up in just over one month of God halting man's destructive activities, and in Beijing as well as in other places. The rivers have cleared up in the canals of Venice for the first time anyone can remember in their lives, and in other parts many animals are reported to be re-occupying areas now abandoned by the people. Traffic is down, crime is down, gas prices in America are abnormally low. The streets of Rome and New York City are vacated and empty (Rev. ch. 16-19). The threats of a coming oil war (Rev. 6:6) with the US and Russia are brewing at this very time with Saudi Arabia, Iran, Israel, Turkey, Syria, the Palestinians, and other Arab peoples in the midst.

This current universal Covid-19 crisis has opened a door of opportunity for universal human cooperation to NOW take place to make the earth a better place and better home for us all. We sent out a video message for Naw Ruz that can be found at the links to be given in our follow-up letter. That Naw Ruz 2020 message gets into the prophetical aspect of these things from the perspective of the Book of Revelation and HOPI Prophecy. Also to be sent out in follow-up to this guidance letter we have  3 documents of importance we recently received from the Hopi. These will be uploaded to the Internet and can be found in the link section in our follow-up letter. Also to uploaded the Council of the IBC/UHJ has re-issued The Indictment sent out during the April 29, 1980 worldwide media projection of Dr. Leland Jensen. The IBC/UHJ has reissued The Indictment in time for the 40th year anniversary: April 29, 1980-April 29, 2020 (Ez. 4:6 KJV).

As for other guidance:

The IBC/UHJ is at the present time establishing a solid communication network with all the friends throughout the world. A more efficient system of communication for the business affairs of the faith. On the one hand while we strengthen our gnostic connections with one another  through Baha'u'llah's Covenant of friendship, we are able to use the proper channels of the Covenant and Administration to communicate, resolve, and implement both spiritual and practical affairs more quickly and smoothly.

The secretary generals of the local, national, and international councils (as well as the isolated centers) are the communication hub of the Baha'i world. Baha'u'llah has stated that Our "mere act of...gathering together" (GL. xliii) is enough to "scatter the forces" of darkness.

Through the regular communication, assembly, and fellowship of all the friends everywhere--and including the office of the Secretariat--as well as holding 19 day feasts, online zoom meetings, and other regular assemblies of the Baha'is, our community generates a self-sustaining positive spiritual vortex that has a lasting effect on the world and our immediate spiritual and physical environment for the better (see World Order of Baha'u'llah, pp. 9 and 19 for more). This current crisis that began this Equinox 2020 parallels the Exodus of Moses event almost 4000 years ago. It begins on the Vernal Equinox with "the angel of death" (Ex. chps. 11, 12) passing over the entire world in the form of this crisis, only on a scale of "one day is equal to one year" (Num. 14:34; Ez. 4:6). The outer virus threat is also symbolic of the other invisible "virus" of a new covenant-breaking strain of poison that has been circulating through the population at this same time.

Passing the test is as easy as falling off a log, Dr. Jensen has said. Opposition only engenders loyalty in all the rest, states 'Abdu'l-Baha. Like the physical virus survival only boosts the immune system and strengthens the body as these tests come upon us. The people need to have ample time to make their adjustments to the new reality. The work to be done now is the inner temple work. As we turn toward the God of our own understanding, make our adjustments, and deepen in God, the spirit, and practical matters such as the need to plant Victory Gardens at this time, and prepare for what is to come next. If the Baha'is work together and cooperate, the prophecy states, these times of trouble shall be like passing though warm-milk for the believers. As we consolidate our own affairs, and perform our own inner temple work of the spirit for ourselves and our community this will set a tone and influence those around us to be able to trust more in God and turn to the Divine protection and Bounty in this day.

"Trustworthiness is the greatest portal leading unto the tranquility and security of the people. In truth the stability of every affair hath depended and doth depend upon it. All the domains of power, of grandeur and of wealth are illumined by its light." (Baha'u'llah, Tarazat)

"Truthfulness is the foundation of all human virtues. Without truthfulness progress and success, in all the worlds of God, are impossible for any soul. When this holy attribute is established in man, all the divine qualities will also be acquired." ('Abdu'l-Baha, cf. Advent of Divine Justice) 

'Abdu'l-Baha states that "the day of judgment is not the time for God to exercise His wrath but to exercise His mercy." This is because the signs for the reality of God are so obvious on the Day of Judgment (20/20 vision), that it is a Mercy for us all to be guided to see the truth of God with our own eyes and to directly and immediately experience the personal reality of God's Promise fulfilled in our very own beings: independent of all save God. 

At the last August Gathering in 2019 we announced that as the "7 seals" of the Hopi Fireclan Tablet were now opened we have entered the time period of the Hopi Purification that shall last for 7 years, 7 months, 7 weeks, and seven days. This corresponds with the prophetic events that parallel the exodus of Moses on the scale of each day for a year, the next seven years. 

This lock down shows us that we will not be able to move from our locations in the time of a great disaster. The India community should look into purchasing a national center property in a rural area of India (Shoghi Effendi calls this a "goal city") where the School & Cultural Center would be safe from both a nuclear war and the earth's shifting crust. This is to preserve the faith, the culture of India and the people of India, that includes the Baha'i peoples of India there. A teaching, healing, and refugee center with enough Baha'i households in that town or village to have a Baha'i community with people there to accept, orient, and care for students, guests, visitors, and in the case of disasters, refugees.

The American Baha'i Community is in the process of consolidating its national center and business offices in the rural areas of the State of Colorado at this time; and with the assistance of the IBC/UHJ has located a suitable "goal city." This is in accordance with the instructions of both the Guardians 'Abdu'l-Baha's son, Mason Remey Aghsan and Shoghi Effendi. Shoghi Effendi stated:

"Baha'is must have a new way of life. They need to be different from other people. They must be distinguished. The more distinguished, the more they will attract people. The greater the distinction, the greater the attraction. They must read the Tablets of the Covenant of 'Abdu'l-Baha (Will and Testament of 'Abdu'l-Baha) and study the Text of the Teaching (the Book of the Covenant of Baha'u'llah, the Kitab-i-Ahd). It is not enough to be good and kind and to lead a religious life today; it does not count for much unless one accepts the Manifestation of God and His Covenant, and the successors named therein..."

"The young people must disperse far away, the old ones to outlying places; they must settle goal cities. Sell your property and pioneer! The young people of America should go out into the country on farms and work with their hands and produce food for their families."

"Americans are exposed to great dangers. Today the power of America is in the hands of the masses. There is a terrific power in the press, and the people are swayed by it. The United States, on a national scale, sets the pattern for an international pattern. There will be a World Civil War, followed by the establishment of a world state; all the nations will be a part of it and will have to conform to it. This war has already started...."

"Mankind cannot be purified and cleansed without suffering. It is positively dangerous to live in cities. The cities are doomed. They will go up in smoke. They will evaporate. The Baha'is must disperse from the cities...why do they not disperse? If they do not respond and disperse, they will suffer spiritually, materially, and physically. In America the destruction will be great! They must disperse for their own protection. The cities are doomed: New York, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles... America will become the storm center of the future."

"Those with independent means must pack up and go. Those with spirit must pack up and go. There must be a mass response. I can warn them, but I cannot make them go. The Cause will triumph in spite of the actions and inactivity of the believers. If one country falls down, another will make up for it. The Baha'is have been given the method. Now they must have the spirit. It is hopeless for capable teachers in the cities (the people will not listen)...

"People are flocking to churches through fear. Americans must have a totally new way of life, become a race of wholly devoted souls, devoted to God and His ways. They must get to a simpler way of life. The standards of America must be lowered, have fewer luxuries. Americans do not have enough belief in God, not enough detachment. They must be more spiritual, disencumber themselves from things, have Baha'i standards, not American standards. Americans are too materialistic, too mechanized, too attached to family, health, and death. There must be less materialism, less intellectualism, and more spirit. America is the most disturbed nation, politically, on earth. There is too much organization in America and too little spirit." (Shoghi Effendi, http://www.uhj.net/end-time-prophecy.html)

"Reflections such as these should steel the resolve of the entire Baha'i community, should dissipate their forebodings, and arouse them TO REDEDICATE THEMSELVES TO EVERY SINGLE PROVISION OF THAT DIVINE CHARTER-the sacred Will and Testament-whose outline has been delineated for them by the pen of 'Abdu'l-Baha." (Shoghi Effendi, Advent of Divine Justice, p. 73)

Today the American Baha'i Community has overcome all of the challenges and obstacles leveled against those of the past by Shoghi Effendi. The Baha'is under the Covenant today in America are not like the people in the 1940s and 50s. They have located many goal cities and pioneered them back in the 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. The mainstay of the entire Baha'i Community in America lives outside of these large mega-cities that Shoghi Effendi has warned against. Those few in or near these nuclear target cities are there for spiritual and not material reasons. All today are filled with the Spirit. All today have attained the deep level of devotion, loyalty, severance, and detachment needed in these times of Test. How else could the American National Council consolidate its resources, combine its energies, and focus upon one single goal city at this time, to make the people's national center in the USA? By the power of Spirit!

Therefore have we all--in both India and America and our community of loved ones all throughout the world--most certainly attained the individual and group capacity to take up this task, and reap that great benefits and spiritual rewards in both this world and the next for working together on this plane of existence for a common important goal of great significance and impact: The Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven, the pure spiritual democracy of unity in diversity, that is, divine civilization for all! God graduates us from the former cycle and condition, and has opened up this new Baha'i era: and if we look very closely and subtly, and if we take pause and meditate into deep spiritual intuition and interior percepts: we may behold the birth and blossoming of the first green shoots of the Lesser Peace! Has not Baha'u'llah Himself prophetically declared in the Ridvan Season: "Behold! The Divine Springtime has Come!"

Now in this crisis we have already lost friends, loved ones, and dear family members. It is my firm belief that those of us who are physically taken in these things are called by God into the light to be the protectors, coworkers, and guardian angels over our loved ones still on earth on this side of the veil. Nothing can ever separate us from each other, or us from God, because love is simply the POWER of ATTRACTION; and we are attracted to God, and know each other with God, through God, and in God. As long as God shall last, Baha'u'llah declares in His holy writings, we shall last (GL, lxxiii). Death itself is a lie, for we are surrounded by our loved ones, ancestors, and holy angels, and advanced beings protecting and looking out for us as helpers unto God in both this life and the next.

"It is clear and evident that when the veils that conceal the realities of the manifestations of the Names and Attributes of God, nay of all created things visible or invisible, have been rent asunder, nothing except the Sign of God will remain--a sign which He, Himself, hath placed within these realities. This sign will endure as long as is the wish of the Lord thy God, the Lord of the heavens and of the  earth. If such be the blessings conferred on all created things, how superior must be the destiny of the true believer, whose existence and life are to be regarded as the originating purpose of all creation. Just as the conception of faith hath existed from the beginning that hath no beginning, and will endure till the end that hath no end, in like manner will the true believer eternally live and endure. His spirit will everlastingly circle round the Will of God. He will last as long as God, Himself, will last. He is revealed through the Revelation of God, and is hidden at His bidding. It is evident that the loftiest mansions in the Realm of Immortality have been ordained as the habitation of them that have truly believed in God and in His signs. Death can never invade that holy seat. Thus have We entrusted thee with the signs of thy Lord, that thou mayest persevere in thy love for Him, and be of them that comprehend this truth." (Baha’u’llah, GL, lxxiii)

This Covid Crisis and the social distancing pattern must be overcome. We are going to do this by gathering together on a more conscious regular basis and communicating with one another through both proper channels and through individual social and fellowship efforts.

Now is the appointed time--our world wide global wake-up call appointed hour--to come together and meet with one another. By activating the office of the Secretary General we mean to open up all proper channels so that everyone can participate!

The guidance from the IBC/UHJ is to participate. Through participating in the Covenant and current administration we are promised through Baha'i consultation to have all of our needs met and solutions given and prayers answered: when we work together and share fully and frankly.

We look forward to speaking with all the friends and networking with one another in person or via internet in the coming weeks.

Now is the time for everyone to participate!
