Dear friends,

Allah'u'Abha!

May this short note arrive with happiness and glad-tidings for this month of the Fast!

Baha'u'llah states that we fast for the love of God:

"In the Name of Him Who hath been promised in the Books of God, the All-Knowing, the All-Informed! The days of fasting have arrived wherein those servants who circle round Thy throne and have attained Thy presence have fasted. Say: O God of names and creator of heaven and earth! I beg of Thee by Thy Name, the All-Glorious, to accept the fast of those who have fasted for love of Thee and for the sake of Thy good-pleasure and have carried out what Thou hast bidden them in Thy Books and Tablets. I beseech Thee by them to assist me in the promotion of Thy Cause and to make me steadfast in Thy love, that my footsteps may not slip on account of the clamor of Thy creatures. Verily, Thou art powerful over whatsoever Thou willest. No God is there but Thee, the Quickener, the All-Powerful, the Most Bountiful, the Ancient of Days."--Baha'u'llah. 

We don't know God in essence. We know God in thought. The thought of His essence...

And this essence appears in spiritual qualities and attributes in the person of the manifestation of God who gives us this original thought.

Once the gift of this thought is given and received, anyone can give that gift to another and pass that thought on along for free...and all are welcome to turn directly to the primary source.

Therefore, tracing the origin of the thought to its source is a matter of scientific and historical integrity: and in the case of "the thought of God" we have the progressive civilizations of the Buddha, Muhammad, Jesus, Moses, Adam, Zoroaster, and the current Revelation of today.

Knowing the primary source is key.

The idea of the thought of the Creator has been around a long time. It is an ancient concept, even if it's new to you.

Everything we know about the Creator originates from the words, actions, teachings and demonstration of the Manifestation of God that is our first teacher and primordial educator in the ever advancing civilization of God.

Through entering in to the Covenant of God, to love one another and to abolish all war, our faith is assured; and safety, security and salvation is safeguarded for all.

I have attached here, some important comments from 'Abdu'l-Baha about suggestions on how to actually end wars, and even how to prevent war, when initially attacked by another nation. These authentic pilgrim notes, give us a glimpse on how we may imagine and implement solutions for peace established upon the foundation of justice today.

May this short note brighten our eyes, and gladden all our hearts! For the blessings and favors of God to be bestowed upon all the people of the world this up coming Naw Ruz and Ridvan. In like manner--as the Naw Ruz of the Bab of 4BE--Naw Ruz 2025, will be filled with a special potency and wonderful spiritual gifts for the faith, thus opening this coming brand new year! And, as such, this current fast, during the planetary alignment and lunar and solar eclipses coordinates a world fast and holy period from the sacred calendars of all faiths and traditions also in alignment and conjunction now at this time.

May wisdom conquer the stupidity of war!

The Russo-Japanese War

(Feb 8, 1904 – Sep 5, 1905)

"One day several European visitors arrived and attained the presence of 'Abdu'l-Baha as described previously, with much insistence and stubbornness. First they asked about political questions, to which 'Abdu'l-Baha refused to reply. "We have no involvement in the world of politics," He said. ...

"Who will win the war?" they asked. 

As 'Abdu'l-Bahá remained silent, they realized that they had trespassed the bounds of courtesy, and so they modified the political nature of the issues, adopted a moral approach, and asked, "Of course, we know that Japan was the instigator and invader, but could Russia have avoided engaging the Japanese in the conflict?"

The Master replied, "Yes, they could have, since they were the ones who initiated the declaration of world peace and were the spearhead in motivating other governments in the establishment of the World Peace Conference at The Hague.

"It would have been better had they not gone to war, but had adopted a defensive position. Then, in collaboration with other governments, they could have issued an ultimatum to Japan." '

'Abdu'l-Baha continued in this vein, uttering astonishing concepts which left His stunned listeners overwhelmed.

Using a world map, He pointed out the frontiers of Russia, gave the number of their warships and categorized them in groups, indicating the role of each group in battle. He then explained how Russia could have effected a general retreat, in the meantime communicating with neighbouring governments and inviting their participation in the issuing of an ultimatum for a ceasefire. 

Then He elaborated on the design and execution of a Comprehensive Peace Plan.

'Abdu'l-Bahá's descriptions were so clear and lucid that His listeners were beside themselves with astonishment and delight.

One of them said, "I wish the politicians of the world were aware of these possibilities."

"The Czar of Russia suggested the Hague Peace Conference and proposed a decrease in armament for all nations. In this Conference it was proved that Peace was beneficial to all countries, and that war destroyed trade, etc. The Czar's words were admirable though after the conference was over he himself was the first to declare war (against Japan).

      

"Knowledge is not enough; we hope by the Love of God we shall put it into practice. A spiritual universal Force is needed for this. Meetings are good for engendering spiritual force. To know that it is possible to reach a state of perfection, is good; to march forward on the path is better. We know that to help the poor and to be merciful is good and pleases God, but knowledge alone does not feed the starving man, nor can the poor be warmed by knowledge or words in the bitter winter; we must give the practical help of Loving-kindness."

Hope springs eternal!!! The more dire the situation becomes, the deeper the desire for the remedy. For 6000 years man has been fighting and struggling to survive. Today all at once, with internet, global communication, global travel, world fair trade: we have the ways and means to Abolish all war, and to cooperate together everywhere in order to live better lives in our short journey on earth, demonstrating meeting our needs together, and not short-changing anyone at another's expense. 

Once characters and personalities are reformed, then structures and institutions shall follow. Because it takes people who are world reformers to reform those institutions that no longer serve properly human needs. And the practice of all the successful world reformers is personal growth and development. Problem solvers are needed because there are problems. Therefore problems are a good thing because they give us opportunities for something positive for us to do; and for something positive for us to do together. Happiness may be defined, as the successful solution for our problems. Therefore God gives us problems so we'll be happy!

Tablet of the Four Loves: A brief word of Introduction by Guardian Neal Chase

 Dorothy Tennov's (1979) scientific work "Love and Limerence" breaks open the deep and true understanding of 'Abdu'l-Baha's explanation of the following Tablet, clarifying the scientific reality of the character, form and intent of his words, as correctly translated into English.

It is this author's sincere hope that all people shall attain to overcoming limerence and all limerent objects that have clouded the minds with a clutter, now that Dorothy Tennov's work has enabled us to easily make fast the way to the good life and life abundantly. May her monumental work and her name live on for 5000 Centuries of this New Aquarian Cycle: a bulwark against the toxic, a Stronghold in the House of Love!

Everyone who learns this discernment between Love and Limerence has a chance to survive and thrive! Esp. in these days of rampant war, and prejudiced and inflamed passions that only serve to divide and conquer, separating the servants from the servants via malicious infighting of fear-based material concerns.

Humanity as a whole, and individuals in particular, will benefit greatly from Dorothy Tonnev's pioneering work!

WHAT a power is love! It is the most wonderful, the greatest of all living powers.
Love gives life to the lifeless. Love lights a flame in the heart that is cold. Love brings hope to the hopeless and gladdens the hearts of the sorrowful.

In the world of existence there is indeed no greater power than the power of love. When the heart of man is aglow with the flame of love, he is ready to sacrifice all--even his life. In the Gospel it is said God is love.

There are four kinds of love. The first is the love that flows from God to man; it consists of the inexhaustible graces, the Divine effulgence and heavenly illumination. Through this love the world of being receives life. Through this love man is endowed with physical existence, until, through the breath of the Holy Spirit--this same love--he receives eternal life and becomes the image of the Living God. This love is the origin of all the love in the world of creation.

The second is the love that flows from man to God. This is faith, attraction to the Divine, enkindlement, progress, entrance into the Kingdom of God, receiving the Bounties of God, illumination with the lights of the Kingdom. This love is the origin of all philanthropy; this love causes the hearts of men to reflect the rays of the Sun of Reality.

The third is the love of God towards the Self or Identity of God. This is the transfiguration of His Beauty, the reflection of Himself in the mirror of His Creation. This is the reality of love, the Ancient Love, the Eternal Love. Through one ray of this Love all other love exists.

The fourth is the love of man for man. The love which exists between the hearts of believers is prompted by the ideal of the unity of spirits. This love is attained through the knowledge of God, so that men see the Divine Love reflected in the heart. Each sees in the other the Beauty of God reflected in the soul, and finding this point of similarity, they are attracted to one another in love. This love will make all men the waves of one sea, this love will make them all the stars of one heaven and the fruits of one tree. This love will bring the realization of true accord, the foundation of real unity.

But the love which sometimes exists between friends is not (true) love, because it is subject to transmutation; this is merely LIMERENCE. As the breeze blows, the slender trees yield. If the wind is in the East the tree leans to the West, and if the wind turns to the West the tree leans to the East. This kind of "love" is originated by the accidental conditions of life. This is not love, it is merely acquaintanceship--LIMERENCE; it is subject to change.

Today you will see two souls apparently in close friendship; tomorrow all this may be changed. Yesterday they were ready to die for one another, today they shun one another’s society! This is not love; it is the yielding of the hearts to the accidents of life. When that which has caused this “love” (LIMERENCE) to exist passes, the love passes also; this is not in reality love.

Love is only of the four kinds that I have explained. (a) The love of God towards the identity of God. Christ has said God is Love. (b) The love of God for His children—for His servants. (c) The love of man for God and (d) the love of man for man. These four kinds of love originate from God. These are rays from the Sun of Reality; these are the Breathings of the Holy Spirit; these are the Signs of the Reality.

(The Removal of Abdul Baha’s mortal remain was not been authorized or approved by the True UHJ)

 

The removal of 'Abdu’l-Baha's mortal remains from the shrine of the Bab to that other location has not been either authorized or approved by the genuine UHJ (head and body both) that is the legal successor to Shoghi Effendi that he set up and constituted on Jan. 9, 1951, established in full working order on Jan.9, 1991. In the W&T, the final page states that we must turn unto Shoghi Effendi (the center of the Cause of God) and after him to the House of Justice and warns that "he who turns unto whatsoever else is indeed in grievous error."

The people who followed Ruhiyyih Khanum and the Hands turned to her and the Hands after the passing of Shoghi Effendi and separated themselves from the true IBC/UHJ set up on Jan. 9, 1951, with 'Abdu’l-Baha's aghsan-son as it's first president. When they did this they have fallen into grievous error after grievous error after grievous error.

Nowhere in the explicit writings does it state where the remains of 'Abdu’l-Baha should be laid to rest. When the Covenant was broken at the time of the passing of Abdu’l-Baha, his corpse was placed in the Shrine of the Bab, against his own stated wishes, that he was not to be interred there. This was done without consulting Shoghi Effendi either. When Shoghi Effendi arrived in the Holy Land from London it was too late, and it was too much for Shoghi Effendi to contemplate moving his remains that were at least at rest. Now without producing anything, not even a pilgrim notes, those, not guided by the true UHJ, like those not guided by Shoghi Effendi, who interred his blessed remains in the shrine of the Bab, against the Master's own wishes, these misguided ones are seeking to remove his blessed remains and frame of his mortal temple off Mt. Carmel to some unknown spot of no importance or significance. 'Abdu'l-Baha would NEVER wish a shrine for himself but only a grave, like his sister the Greatest Holy Leaf, his mother, Navaab, and his brother the Purest Branch.

There are not to be three sacred shrines in the Holy Land, but only two: Bahji and that of the Bab. A separate shrine for 'Abdu’l-Baha is an abomination to the life work and servitude of 'Abdu’l-Baha. To see Abdu’l-Baha's true feelings about this, see the episode of Abdu’l-Baha and Mishkin-Qalam concerning the inscription on the sarcophagus of the Bab.

Therefore, like Elijah that fought the pagan priests of Ba'al, atop Mount Carmel in ancient days, God Almighty has sent down purifying fire from on high, to blast the area of the Holy Mountain with the fires from heaven at the proposed location.

Like Shoghi Effendi, who let the error stand for a time, we have nothing to say about the removal or final true resting place for the sacred and Holy remains of the Master, our perfect exemplar, Abdu’l-Baha. 

Therefore, they have all fallen into grievous error, and the fire of God has caused them all to lament and grieve. Those firm in the Covenant rejoice at the perfection of God and are not grieved in the least, for all the world is entering the days of the great all-consuming fires of purification. (Consider the prophecies of the Book of Revelation at this time concerning the bear of Russia and the eagle of the US, and "Gog and Magog" occurring at this very same time, that is no mere coincidence.)

These days of the all-consuming fire! This is the fire of Abdu’l-Baha who has lit the seven candles. It is the shamash candle that lights the seven candles, for the first shall be last and the last shall be first. Through the power of His Covenant and the sacred W&T, the fires of faith and the fires of the Holy Spirit have been now ignited by his hands yet again at the centenary of the Covenant.

This fire of the true Covenant of God is at once a blessing to the righteous and a curse for the wicked. As the pagan priests of Ba'al are slain, like the overthrow of Rome, the souls of the true believers, ascend through 10 states through four worlds in their reunion and meeting with God, even as Elijah himself ascended unto heaven in a whirl-wind and Flaming chariot.

May this letter open all eyes to God's Fashioning of us all into His image and likeness so we can attain our meeting with Him in the Holy Court of the throne room in the realms of Lahut, Jabarut, and Makakut; for He is our creator and fashioner and we are the created and what He is fashioning even now!

Ya Baha'u'-ABHA! May God protect and guide the people of Baha so that they may ALL come to life and SEE!!!

Spiritual Existance is Immortality

 

According to divine philosophy, there are two important and universal conditions in the world of material phenomena; one which concerns life, the other concerning death; one relative to existence, the other non-existence; one manifest in composition, the other in decomposition. Some define existence as the expression of reality or being, and non-existence as non-being, imagining that death is annihilation. This is a mistaken idea, for total annihilation is an impossibility. At most, composition is ever subject to decomposition or disintegration; that is to say, existence implies the grouping of material elements in a form or body, and non-existence is simply the de-composing of these groupings. This is the law of creation in its endless forms and infinite variety of expression. Certain elements have formed the composite creature man. This composite association of the elements in the form of a human body is therefore subject to disintegration which we call death, but after disintegration the elements themselves persist unchanged. Therefore total annihilation is an impossibility, and existence can never become non-existence. This would be equivalent to saying that light can become darkness, which is manifestly untrue and impossible. As existence can never become non-existence, there is no death for man; nay, rather, man is everlasting and everliving. The rational proof of this is that the atoms of the material elements are transferable from one form of existence to another, from one degree and kingdom to another, lower or higher. For example, an atom of the soil or dust of earth may traverse the kingdoms from mineral to man by successive incorporations into the bodies of the organisms of those kingdoms. At one time it enters into the formation of the mineral or rock; it is then absorbed by the vegetable kingdom and becomes a constituent of the body and fibre of a tree; again it is appropriated by the animal, and at a still later period  is found in the body of man. Throughout these degrees of its traversing the kingdoms from one form of phenomenal being to another, it retains its atomic existence and is never annihilated nor relegated to non-existence.

Non-existence therefore is an expression applied to change of form, but this transformation can never be rightly considered annihilation, for the elements of composition are ever present and existent as we have seen in the journey of the atom through successive kingdoms, unimpaired; hence there is no death; life is everlasting. So to speak, when the atom entered into the composition of the tree, it died to the mineral kingdom, and when consumed by the animal, it died to the vegetable kingdom, and so on until its transference or transmutation into the kingdom of man; but throughout its traversing it was subject to transformation and not annihilation. Death therefore is applicable to a change or transference from one degree or condition to another. In the mineral realm there was a spirit of existence; in the world of plant life and organisms it reappeared as the vegetative spirit; thence it attained the animal spirit and finally aspired to the human spirit. These are degrees and changes but not obliteration; and this is a rational proof that man is everlasting, everliving. Therefore death is only a relative term implying change. For example, we will say that this light before me, having reappeared in another incandescent lamp, has died in the one and lives in the other. This is not death in reality. The perfections of the mineral are translated into the vegetable and from thence into the animal, the virtue always attaining a plus or superlative degree in the upward change. In each kingdom we find the same virtues manifesting themselves more fully, proving that the reality has been transferred from a lower to a higher form and kingdom of being. Therefore non-existence is only relative and absolute non-existence inconceivable. This rose in my hand will become disintegrated and its symmetry destroyed, but the elements of its composition remain changeless; nothing affects their elemental integrity. They cannot become non-existent; they are simply transferred from one state to another.

Through his ignorance, man fears death; but the death he shrinks from is imaginary and absolutely unreal; it is only human imagination.

The bestowal and grace of God have quickened the realm of existence with life and being. For existence there is neither change nor transformation; existence is ever existence; it can never be translated into non-existence. It is gradation; a degree below a higher degree is considered as non-existence. This dust beneath our feet, as compared with our being is non-existent. When the human body crumbles into dust we can say it has become non-existent; therefore its dust in relation to living forms of human being is as non-existent but in its own sphere it is existent, it has its mineral being. Therefore it is well proved that absolute non-existence is impossible; it is only relative.

The purpose is this;—that the everlasting bestowal of God vouchsafed to man is never subject to corruption. Inasmuch as He has endowed the phenomenal world with being, it is impossible for that world to become non-being, for it is the very genesis of God; it is the realm of origination; it is a creational and not a subjective world, and the bounty descending upon it is continuous and permanent. Therefore man the highest creature of the phenomenal world is endowed with that continuous bounty bestowed by divine generosity without cessation. For instance, the rays of the sun are continuous, the heat of the sun emanates from it without cessation; no discontinuance of it is conceivable. Even so the bestowal of God is descending upon the world of humanity, never ceasing, continuous, forever. If we say that the bestowal of existence ceases or falters it is equivalent to saying that the sun can exist with cessation of its effulgence. Is this possible? Therefore the effulgences of existence are ever-present and continuous.

The conception of annihilation is a factor in human degradation, a cause of human debasement and lowliness, a source of human fear and abjection. It has been conducive to the dispersion and weakening of human thought whereas the realization of existence and continuity has upraised man to sublimity of ideals, established the foundations of human progress and stimulated the development of heavenly virtues; therefore it behoves man to abandon thoughts of non-existence and death which are absolutely imaginary and see himself ever living, everlasting in the divine purpose of his creation. He must turn away from ideas which degrade the human soul, so that day by day and hour by hour he may advance upward  and higher to spiritual perception of the continuity of the human reality. If he dwells upon the thought of non-existence he will become utterly incompetent; with weakened will-power his ambition for progress will be lessened and the acquisition of human virtues will cease.
Therefore you must thank God that He has bestowed upon you the blessing of life and existence in the human kingdom. Strive diligently to acquire virtues befitting your degree and station. Be as lights of the world which cannot be hid and which have no setting in horizons of darkness. Ascend to the zenith of an existence which is never beclouded by the fears and forebodings of non-existence. When man is not endowed with inner perception he is not informed of these important mysteries. The retina of outer vision though sensitive and delicate may nevertheless be a hindrance to the inner eye which alone can perceive. The bestowals of God which are manifest in all phenomenal life are sometimes hidden by intervening veils of mental and mortal vision which render man spiritually blind and incapable but when those scales are removed and the veils rent asunder, then the great signs of God will become visible and he will witness the eternal light filling the world. The bestowals of God are all and always manifest. The promises of heaven are ever present. The favors of God are all-surrounding but should the conscious eye of the soul of man remain veiled and darkened he will be led to deny these universal signs and remain deprived of these manifestations of divine bounty. Therefore we must endeavor with heart and soul in order that the veil covering the eye of inner vision may be removed, that we may behold the manifestations of the signs of God, discern His mysterious graces, and realize that material blessings as compared with spiritual bounties are as nothing. The spiritual blessings of God are greatest. When we were in the mineral kingdom, although endowed with certain gifts and powers, they were not to be compared with the blessings of the human kingdom. In the matrix of the mother we were the recipients of endowments and blessings of God, yet these were as nothing compared to the powers and graces bestowed upon us after birth into this human world. Likewise if we are born from the matrix of this physical and phenomenal environment into the 267 freedom and loftiness of the life and vision spiritual, we shall consider this mortal existence and its blessings as worthless by comparison.

In the spiritual world, the divine bestowals are infinite, for in that realm there is neither separation nor disintegration which characterize the world of material existence. Spiritual existence is absolute immortality, completeness and unchangeable being. Therefore we must thank God that He has created for us both material blessings and spiritual bestowals. He has given us material gifts and spiritual graces, outer sight to view the lights of the sun and inner vision by which we may perceive the glory of God. He has designed the outer ear to enjoy the melodies of sound and the inner hearing wherewith we may hear the voice of our creator. We must strive with energies of heart, soul and mind to develop and manifest the perfections and virtues latent within the realities of the phenomenal world, for the human reality may be compared to a seed. If we sow the seed, a mighty tree appears from it. The virtues of the seed are revealed in the tree; it puts forth branches, leaves, blossoms, and produces fruits. All these virtues were hidden and potential in the seed. Through the blessing and bounty of cultivation these virtues became apparent. Similarly the merciful God our creator has deposited within human realities certain virtues latent and potential. Through education and culture, these virtues deposited by the loving God will become apparent in the human reality even as the unfoldment of the tree from within the germinating seed.
